If you’re looking for a bespoke garden design but don’t live nearby or you simply want a concept-only garden plan without a full-scale service, remote garden design might be just what you need.
As a professional garden designer based on the Norfolk and Suffolk border, I work with clients across the UK through my remote concept-only garden design service. It’s a flexible, collaborative, and surprisingly personal way to reimagine your garden from anywhere.

This bespoke layout was created for a large garden surrounding a striking new modern home. The design includes multiple seating areas, from quiet corners for morning coffee to generous spaces for entertaining, all thoughtfully planned to help the new build settle naturally into its surroundings. A great example of how a Concept-Only garden design can deliver structure, style and purpose, wherever you're based.

This view shows part of the contemporary layout, with a sociable BBQ area, relaxed seating, and a glimpse of a larger entertaining space beyond - all designed to complement the architecture of a striking new build home.

Oak pergolas frame pathways leading to two generous seating areas near the house — one for dining, one for lounging. Layered perennial planting adds texture and colour throughout the seasons, while beautiful multi-stem trees bring structure, softness, and a sense of maturity to this newly built modern home.
What is remote garden design?
Remote garden design is an online, concept-based service where I create a tailored garden layout for your space, without needing an in-person site visit.
Using photos, simple measurements, and a design questionnaire, I’ll craft a bespoke garden layout, moodboards and 3D visuals that align with your home, style, and lifestyle. Whether you live in a London townhouse, a Suffolk cottage, or a new build home in Yorkshire, this approach gives you professional design guidance at a lower cost and with more flexibility.
Who is it for?
My remote garden design service is ideal for you if:
You love my style but don’t live in Norfolk or Suffolk
You’ve recently moved and want to reshape an inherited garden
You’ve completed a home extension and your outdoor space needs updating to suit
You want expert advice but don’t need a full-scale garden build
You’re a confident DIY gardener who just needs a concept plan to work from
Many of my remote clients live outside East Anglia but are drawn to my naturalistic, wildlife-friendly garden style and personal approach.
How the process works:
Once you get in touch, I’ll walk you through what I need:
You provide:
Photos of your garden from different angles
Basic dimensions or a sketch (don’t worry it doesn’t need to be perfect!)
A completed design questionnaire (I’ll provide this)
Notes on what you like/dislike, how you want to use the space
The amount you'd like to invest into your new garden
Any garden inspiration images or Pinterest boards
I deliver:
A to scale garden concept layout plan
Moodboard(s)
3D visuals to really help you visualise your new garden space
All delivered as a neat digital (PDF) - with the same attention to detail I give all my Norfolk and Suffolk garden design projects.
Why does the Concept-Only garden design package work so well?
Concept-only garden design is perfect if:
You want a professionally designed layout, but aren’t ready to build yet
You’re working with your own landscaper or want to DIY in stages
You’d like to plan ahead for future works with clear direction
You want to make sure your outdoor space suits your home and lifestyle before investing in materials and plants
Let's start your journey!
Whether you're local to Norfolk or Suffolk, or you’re browsing from further afield, my remote garden design service offers a thoughtful and professional way to begin transforming your outdoor space - wherever you are.
