Design Consultation
Our process begins with a relaxed, in-home consultation where I’ll visit your garden to get a real feel for the space and, most importantly, get to know you. We’ll chat about how you want to use your garden, your favourite styles and the budget we’re working with. This is where your ideas and wishes start to take shape. Initial consultations start at £100 plus mileage.​​
Design Proposal & Survey
Following our meeting, I’ll create a detailed garden design proposal outlining your needs, ideas and project timeline. Once you’re happy with this, we move forward. For accuracy, I’ll need a topographical survey of your garden, I can recommend a reliable local surveyor in Norfolk or Suffolk.
Creative Presentation
This is the heart of the garden design process. I’ll bring your vision to life with a 2D plan view of the space and a mood board capturing the style and atmosphere we’re aiming for. To help you visualise your new garden, I use 3D modelling, making it easier to understand the flow, scale, and feel of the space. This stage invites your feedback and tweaks to ensure everything is just right.
Detailed Working Drawings
Next, I prepare comprehensive working drawings including a master plan, construction details, drainage and irrigation layouts, lighting plans, and elevations. These enable professional landscapers to quote accurately and build your bespoke garden with precision.
Tender Process
If you wish, I can help you invite local, reputable contractors to tender for the work, ensuring you get competitive, like-for-like quotes. I can also monitor progress with regular site visits to keep the project on track and ensure a high-quality finish, if required.
Planting Plan
To complete your garden design, I create a detailed planting plan showing plant positions, quantities, and growth expectations, paired with a mood board to showcase the beauty and ambience your new planting will bring.
Construction
Finally, your dream garden begins to take shape with the skilled hands of your chosen landscapers. I’m always available to answer questions and make sure the vision is realised beautifully.
